ANDY MURRAY is OUT of next month's Davis Cup tie - but could return in the summer.

The Scot ace will miss Great Britian's clash with Tunisia at the Bolton Arena in early March.

Speaking ahead of his first round match at the Rotterdam Open, he said: "I'm not playing Davis Cup next month. I'm probably going to play in the tie after Wimbledon."

Murray, 23, has not played in the Davis Cup since September, 2009 when he could not prevent a 3-2 to Poland in a relegation play-off.

Britain will now face Tunisia match in the lowly third tier of men's tennis - the Europe/Africa zone group two - with James Ward, world-ranked 209, leading the attack.

If Britain win they will face a second-round clash against either Ireland or Luxembourg in the week after Wimbledon.

Murray returns to action tonight after his Australian Open final defeat to Novak Djokovic but faces a tough test against World No.20 Marcos Baghdatis.

The 25-year-old Cypriot holds a winning head to head record of 2-1 over the Scot and Murray is well aware of his talents.

He said: "He does everything well. He can be a little erratic sometimes and can make some mistakes but he plays well."
